There comes a time in the life of every flywheel when resurfacing is necessary.
Your flywheel absorbs and dissipates the heat and friction generated from the normal operation of your clutch. If your clutch is starting to slip, more heat is generated causing additinal thermal stress. This stress can cause heat cracks, warps and hard spots on your flywheel surface.
If you are replacing or repairing your clutch, this is the perfect time to have your flywheel inspected for cracks, grooves or hard spots. A worn flywheel can cause improper connection in your clutch system or premature wear on your clutch components. Most clutch suppliers will not honor warranty claims if the flywheel was not resurfaced or was resurfaced incorrectly when the clutch was installed.
Overland Driveshaft will inspect your flywheel for defects and signs of wear and, in most cases, can resurface your flywheel while you wait.
